The Landlord FX Amber Nectar is an overdrive pedal with a nice variable amount of gain and a good response to pick attack.

This is one of those drive pedals that you can happily play around with for hours. Between playing with the two modes (cheekily entitled ‘Half Cut’ and ‘Hammered’), adjusting the Gain knob and your guitar’s own volume knob, a wide range of satisfying drive tones can be accessed.

Of the two modes, we particularly enjoyed the ‘Half Cut’ setting (it must be our age…) since it brought to lots of pleasing overtones in our humble home rig and also worked well with other drive pedals.

Every pedal board has space for another Overdrive, it goes without saying! We think this excellently priced and highly enjoyable pedal deserves a place on yours.
