From the original T5’s groundbreaking debut in 2005 through its evolution as the smaller T5z, Taylor’s hollowbody hybrid electric-acoustic guitars have carved out a niche of their own in the landscapeof stage-worthy musical instruments. The combination of electric andacoustic pickups and 5-way switching has given players a uniquelyversatile tool to adapt for a wide range of musical applications.

Now, Taylor master builder Andy Powers has taken another stepforward by refreshing the T5z with a suite of comfort-enhancingdesign updates that make it more appealing than ever. The pickups, preamp and five-way switching remain the same, retaining thesignature sonic characteristics that have made the T5z musicallyappealing. But a lighter, slimmer and more contoured body, togetherwith new, more accessible tone knob positioning, deliver anundeniably inviting playing experience.
