Juno-X Engine

The Juno-X Engine uses Roland's ZEN-Core synthesis system to meticulously recreate the Juno sound, including authentic models of the Juno-60 and Juno-106, yet the Juno-X is also the natural evolution of the Juno, giving you the ability to create even bigger sounds with improved dynamics, plus gives the ability to layer sounds. In essence, it's a Juno, but with greater possibilities.

It wouldn't be a Juno without a delicious chorus effect and the Chorus III instantly gives you that iconic dreamy Juno sound in 3 flavours. The Juno-X Engine also features Roland's iconic supersaw waveform that's a legend in dance and electronic music. It's clear that the Juno-X has been designed with performing musicians in mind, thanks to its impressive sound and hands-on controls, but as the Juno-X Engine has been built around ZEN-Core, it offers much more than a vintage Juno...

Even More Sounds

The ZEN-Core sound engine blurs the lines between hardware and software. This groundbreaking engine creates awesome synth sounds which can be imported, exported and shared with your other ZEN-Core hardware or even used inside your DAW. This gives you the ability to expand your Juno-X via Roland Cloud to include accurate models of legacy Roland equipment like the Jupiter 8, SH-101, and JX-8P, plus gives you access to new synth models and a huge amount of expansion content (10 sound packs are included for free with the Juno-X) with the Zen-Core sound library.

In addition to the powerful ZEN-Core sound engine, Juno-X also features over 900 PCM sounds taken from the iconic XV-5080 module, giving you instant access to awesome sounding acoustic instruments and vintage synths, as well as drums and percussion sounds. Juno-X is also host to beautiful piano voices taken from the RD series of stage pianos and features an excellent Vocoder that lets you take advantage of the microphone input to explore creative options by adding vocal-like textures and percussive rhythms to your sounds.

All of the above make the Juno-X an incredibly powerful option for the stage and studio, not just for vintage synth sounds, but for every sound you could possibly need, available with incredible detail, character and expressivity.

High-Resolution Control

The front panel of the Juno-X will feel familiar to Juno fans, it gives you hands-on control over your sounds, letting you tweak presets and create sounds from scratch without the need to menu dive. Performing musicians will also love the ability to store up to 256 custom "scenes" that can be made up of four instruments parts with dedicated drums, effects and arpeggio settings.

Juno-X Editor

Tone searchers who love to sculpt sounds down microscopic detail will love the Juno-X editor. This desktop application for Mac and Windows lets you tweak every parameter of the Juno-X, including sounds, effects, scenes and performance setups with the ease of using your mouse and large computer monitor.
