Korg’s Volca range is something I think we can all agree is just what we needed. Offering a range of different synthesizers and drum machines in a pocket-sized package. Let’s not forget that they are incredibly affordable! The Volca Bass is an analogue bass synthesizer featuring 3 VCOs, a filter, LFO and amp section. Not to mention it has a great sequencer derived from the Electribe on board. It’s crazy how much Korg managed to pack into such an affordable instrument!

Fat Bass Sounds

With its triple oscillator design, the Volca Bass can create sounds big enough to contend with the heavyweights. Usually you don’t see three oscillators anywhere near this kind of price! The signal flow is fairly simple. With LFO, filter and amp sections on board, you have the tools to create massive sounds without diluting things too much.

Sequencer

The sequencer on the Volca Bass is derived from the legendary Electribe units. It is intuitive and flexible, even allowing you to program different parts for each oscillator. This can lead to some really interesting parts!

Connectivity

The Volca Bass features MIDI in, so you can hook up your favourite controller if you want to play the synth on keys. You’ll also find sync connectors on all of the Volca range. This is particularly neat for syncing the tempo of multiple Volca units together via CV patch cables.
