What we say:

At A Glance

Ibanez made the Gio range in order to supply all guitarists with a good quality rock guitar that would sound good and be reliable but also be very affordable. Importantly, it proudly displays the Ibanez logo on the headstock, not some other name for a cheaper range. This proves that Ibanez are serious about their commitment to making this an affordable range of real quality. The 170 model loses the pickguard for a more radical 80s hard rock look. This is further emphasised by the aggressive sharktooth inlays and binding on the fretboard. The pickups are in the HSH configuration, just like classic RG models.

Features We Love:

HSH Pickups

These pickups let you switch between the pair of big rock/metal sounding humbuckers and the more classic single coil middle tone. Making use of the 5 way selector gives you so many great tonal options at the flick of a switch.

Tremolo System

A tremolo is a great way to add expression to your playing. Making chords or single notes sound more atmospheric, it is ideal for putting a bit of extra style into songs.

Ibanez Quality

Held in high esteem for their top quality guitars, Ibanez certainly know how to create great instruments. Some of world's top players have been using Ibanez for decades and they continue to provide everything a guitarist needs, be it at the start of their journey or at the top of their game.

Pros:

Great value for money
Ibanez quality throughout
Versatile and great for those learning a range of styles
