Gretsch and Chet Aktins enjoyed a long history together and some of his signature models, like this beautiful Tennessee Rose, have remained to become staples of the Gretsch catalogue.

This large bodied single-cut hollowbody exemplifies much of what make Gretsch guitars so stylish: the bound f-holes, the thumbnail fingerboard inlays, the Bigsby tremolo and the deep Cherry finish over the laminated Maple body. There is no mistaking what kind of guitar this is!

A pair of high quality TV Jones Hilo’Tron pickups provide a single coil tone with plenty of vintage twang and a natural midrange bump. It’s a very pure sound.

Gretsch have twinned up the Bigsby tremolo with a special bridge that ‘rocks’ to accommodate movement from the tremolo. This helps the tuning stay tight, as do the Grover tuners.

This beautiful guitar is perfect for all kinds of roots and heritage music as well as having a mean rock ’n’ roll growl!
