Gibson Custom Shop have spent countless hours analysing originals in order to create this historically accurate 1968 Les Paul Custom Reissue Gloss Ebony Left Handed. Every detail has been expertly recreated to produce this all time classic in full glory. The 1968 model differed in several ways compared to the models of the 50s. Construction changed to a solid mahogany body with a maple top which gave an extra level of clarity that players loved. Two humbuckers became the norm instead of the previously used 3 which many guitarists favoured for the increased ease of picking and strumming. This model really is a gorgeously crafted reissue of the Custom guitar that stood out and inspired generations!

68 Custom Humbucker Set

This pair of Alnico II humbuckers really do justice to the charm of the original. The can go all the way from retro smooth sounding cleans into full-on gain pushing territory. With a resistance of 7-8K, they are still vintage sounding but definitely pack some power for when you need it!

Authentic Neck Profile

The Medium C '68 neck profile is the same as what you'd find on the original. This means the solid mahogany neck fits snugly in the palm of your hand as provides not only an authentically vintage playing experience but also an incredible comfortable and enjoyable one too!
