With its all-analog signal path, silent relay-based switching, and of course being true bypass, it is a well-made pedal that can give you drive sounds ranging from subtle to saturated.

2 Modes

The Special Cranker offers up 2 modes - Germanium and Silicon. The first is the softer sounding of the two and adds some character without detracting from your tone. The latter serves up a higher output with a much brighter sound. This makes it excellent for when you want to get a more biting drive sound.

More is More

Starting off with the More knob all the way down and you get an almost clean sound which works wonders if you need a slight boost to your sound. The more you turn it up, the more gain you get, with each of the two modes allowing fora unique range of sounds that are easy to sweep through until you hit that desired sweet spot.

Highly Responsive

Many overdrive pedals can hijack your sound and stop your personality coming through. The Special Cranker isn't like that as it is very responsive to dynamic changes in your playing. This also makes it an excellent choice for anything from country and blues styles right through to rock.
