Hand Made in England

Atkin acoustics are all made by hand in Canterbury by a small team of artisans. The quality speaks for itself in the detailing, sound, projection and finishing.

Torrefied Top

Torrefaction is a process where the timber is essentially baked. This dries out the moisture and changes the tone and response of the wood, effectively ageing the sound. The result is an instrument that is new, but sounds like it's a hundred years old! It's astonishing and, more importantly, it works!

Great 'period' details

The shape is perfect, the burst is exactly the right shade, the headstock decals convince and the nitro finish gives it that authentic feel that is ready to be broken in with many years of playing. Every detail is exactly right. Even the scale-length, at 24.9", helps the Atkin Forty Three capture that vintage feel.
